JACKSONVILLE / FURNITURE MOVING

Furniture Movers in Jacksonville

Move a sofa, bed, dining set or a room of furniture with a plan for the item and the route. Jacksonville Elite Movers reviews furniture, access and the help you need before confirming the crew and written estimate.

What furniture do you need to move?

List each sofa, sectional, bed frame, mattress, dining table, dresser, desk or shelving unit. Include approximate dimensions, the pickup and delivery locations, and clear photos. Tell us about glass, stone tops, loose joints or parts that cannot be removed. A short furniture list gives the team a better starting point than a room count alone.

Can I request a small furniture move?

You can request a quote for a smaller inventory as well as a full home move. Include every stop and the handling required at each address. Crew minimums still matter: JEM lists a two-hour minimum for a two-mover crew and a three-hour minimum for three movers. The team confirms availability and whether the requested work fits the proposed crew; a small item count does not guarantee a short job.

How should I measure the access route?

Measure the item and the narrowest points it must pass, including doors, hallways, stair turns and elevator openings. Share floors, stair flights, gate instructions and the walk from the loading space to the door. Let the team review a tight route before moving day. Removing a door, using special lifting equipment or handling an item through a window is not automatically included.

Does furniture moving include taking pieces apart?

Identify pieces needing disassembly at pickup and reassembly at delivery. Provide the manufacturer or model and available instructions when you can. Keep existing hardware together and flag missing parts. Ask the team to confirm the work in your quote, including any additional labor or specialist requirements. Built-in pieces, wall anchoring and repairs need separate review.

What should I do before the crew arrives?

Remove loose contents when the team asks you to, clear the agreed access path and decide where each piece should go at the destination. Point out existing damage and fragile areas during the walkthrough. Discuss wrapping, blankets and other protection with the team in advance. Leave heavy lifting and unfamiliar disassembly to the people assigned that work.

What belongs in a furniture-moving quote?

Compare the same item list, addresses and access details. Check the crew size, minimum booking period, transport, travel, packing materials, disassembly and extra stops. Ask how a change in the inventory or access plan would be approved. A furniture quote should identify the work included rather than leave you to infer it from an hourly rate.

Are specialty items handled the same way?

Pianos, safes, pool tables, hot tubs and unusually heavy or fragile pieces need their own handling review. Supply dimensions, manufacturer weight information when available, photos and access details. Tell the team before booking so equipment, specialist work and any exclusions can be confirmed.

Bring the rest of your move together.

Your moving plan can also include local moving, interstate planning, packing, cleaning and loading help. One itemized estimate makes the scope easier to review.
