A large move can create a steady stream of decisions: which cartons are ready, who should answer the crew, what belongs in each room and how a change affects the agreed scope. JEM offers a dedicated moving coordinator for $750 per move to give the customer a consistent representative through that process.
This is an optional service in both the customer quote planner and JEM's staff quote studio. It is a separate service charge, additional to the move itself. Applicable service fee and tax are itemized in the quote.
A representative present from beginning to end
The dedicated coordinator is present on site from the beginning to the end of the agreed move. They help organize the full move, communicate with the movers and keep the customer's instructions clear. The purpose is to reduce the number of separate conversations and decisions the customer must manage directly.
Before booking, confirm the exact locations, schedule and stages covered. If your move includes multiple days, storage or separate delivery stages, have JEM record the coordinator's attendance plan and any scope adjustment in writing.
Packing readiness, including owner-packed items
If you pack your own belongings, the coordinator checks packing readiness and raises concerns with you and the moving team. That can include open cartons, weak containers or items that need additional preparation. Repacking, professional packing labor and materials remain separate services where required.
A readiness check is not a guarantee about concealed contents or a promise that every carton will qualify for a claim. Be clear about fragile, unusual or high-value items before they are loaded.
Understand the actual protection terms
The coordinator helps explain what the applicable moving-protection or insurance terms cover and exclude, referring questions to the appropriate written agreement or insurer when necessary. Selecting a coordinator does not issue an insurance policy, increase valuation or waive exclusions.
Review declared values, customer packing responsibilities, deductibles and any separate policy before the move. Ask for written answers where a particular item or circumstance matters to you.
Especially useful for high-end and complex moves
JEM highly recommends this service for high-end moves where detailed room placement, valuable belongings and multiple instructions need close attention. It can also help a household that wants one dedicated contact during the work instead of managing every crew conversation personally.
